Hi guys,

So much has been happening around here {Murals/Book} and I have been neglecting my blog because of it. If you follow me on Facebook and Instagram you will have seen some the fun of the last few months, if not I am going to have a bit of a recap here to catch you up.

For a start my website has had a bit of a refresh by a local lady Samantha Kaspers. She has done a fab job getting it ready to stock my new book.

The book is titled “There is a Paintbrush in my coffee – Living as a creative parent” and it will be available for sale here on my website from the 1st of December. I had help with the editing etc.. from the generous hearted Julie Gibbs who worked for many years for Penguin/Lantern Books. Julie wrote a beautiful forward for my book as well and I can’t wait to share it with you all and I hope the book is a great encouragement to other creative parents. Below is a pic of my daughter Esther and I (how sweet is she), which was taken for a story about the book for my local newspaper, the Hamilton Spectator.

The other BIG and rewarding project I have worked on recently was a Mural I did in Collaboration with the local Hamilton TAFE campus kids. This project took about 18mths from idea to finish. The project was to paint a 20m x 5 metre wall that sits in a vacant block on the Ballarat Rd as you come into the town of Hamilton. What was once a dull area is now fresh and bright. The students (and staff) involved, all came and gave 100 percent to the wall while they were there and I can’t say enough about how enjoyable the whole process was for all involved. In other news, I am very pleased to announce that my next Solo Exhibition “Musings and Mysteries” will be held at the KOSKELA Gallery in Sydney. The show will open at 2pm on March the 11th to coincide with Sydney Art Month. I have been busy painting for that for a few months now and I am looking forward to sharing that work with you.

I do have several pieces of work for sale, these are via the Scott Livesey Gallery, Melbourne and The Wishart Gallery, Port Fairy. Please enquire about these paintings directly and do support the Galleries who support and promote artists like myself!

And on the home front, well 2016 saw my second oldest daughter finish her VCE and she will now head off to UNI next year. Also next year (2017) another lil one will go to school and it will just be Oscar home with me full time. So family life here continues to evolve and change and so does how and when I work. I have been writing this blog now since 2011 and so much has happened in these few years.

I would love to hear from you in the comments below. I can’t wait to share my book with you. Stay in touch.
