I took this photo as it seemed to express how thing are around here at the moment. Art versus real life. I am always trying to get the balance right here on the home front. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with all the different things I “need” to give attention to. Seeing that my art gives me a lot of pleasure I have to be conscious of not letting it take over. It is always tempting to retreat and paint than to do menial tasks. Avoiding jobs I don’t enjoy.
I was listening to the radio this morning and on comes Joyce Meyer ( www.joycemeyer.org ) I was challenged then as she spoke of doing everything we do cheerfully and without grumbling. So I have made an extra effort today to be happy doing both the things that I enjoy (blogging) and things I don’t (cleaning). So, really no matter what is at hand, my approach/attitude towards what I am doing makes a big difference to how it gets done. Here’s to being grateful/joyful!

Your house/studio looks like it has great light. Hope all is well and if you want to contact me Im on facebook and I think you would have my email by me sending this. Regards
