This is a small painting I did in honour of my Grandmother’s birthday, titled Darling Buds of May. I had planned to be see her for her birthday, but with the coronavirus isolation a long talk had to suffice.
The geometric flowers are passing here, and touching petals, a kind of passing of a torch or in this sense a creative flame. The colours are optimistic and full of joy and I am grateful for my Grandmothers presence in my life.
If you would like a lay-by, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss.
Also I am painting this work in the video below, so check it out if you would like to see the #bts process.
Stay safe and stay home….
Ps This would also make a great mothers day present for someone special. Geometric flowers last forever…
