One of the best things about writing my book, “There is a Paintbrush in my Coffee” has been all the like minded people it has brought into my life.
So, it was with great pleasure that I jumped on a plane to Sydney to speak and open the book launch of “The Artful Mum” by fellow artist and mother, Rachel Moodie.
Rachel organised a group exhibition for all the artists who featured in the book and it was a very warm and celebratory night. I was impressed by her ability to bring so many women together with the common goal of acknowledging both the challenges and the privileges of being a creative mother. I certainly felt the power of sisterhood!!
I have been getting busier and busier with my painting etc.. and I am well behind in posting this post, (this book launch happened in May!) but you can purchase Rachel’s book online HERE.
Remember every time you purchase something from an artist you are saying to them; keep going/here is some money/I believe in you/you are seen/you have a creative future. So, don’t underestimate the power of your dollar to an artist!
Thank you to all the people who support me, past and present, you have all contributed to help me be where I am, (and where I am going) today! Thank you, thank you!
Happy Friday Guys.. I am going to try and catch up on posts/happenings this weekend!
