2025 in review, 2026 News…

Taking a minute here to review and share the creative highlights from 2025 with you all, before I start on 2026 projects.

In many ways it was a hard year behind the scenes, but a year that forced personal growth, consolidation and increased creative momentum. My practice, home, and projects came together to create a strong foundation for the year ahead.

I also want to take a minute to thank you for being here. I appreciate everyone who supports my work, please feel free to drop a line and say hi as it is always wonderful to hear from you. Questions always welcome. Artists need encouragement, collectors, champions and audiences!

January – March

  • January: Carrie Scott – Seen London, I met with Carrie and she wrote about my work, highlighting a key underpinning of my practice: “Geometry is the holding together of chaos.” You can read her full statement here.

  • February: Attended the India Art Fair, exploring 19 Instruments of the Cosmos, this trip inspired the postcard paintings that also became scarves. During my visit I also was able to view private collections and meet with curators, philanthropists and fellow artists, deepening my connections in the international art community.

  • March: I showed a body of work with RISE ART London – Postcards from Other Realms, introducing my practise to European and UK collectors. A new launch is planned in 2026 to build on these existing connections, subscribe to RISE Art to follow along.

May – June

  • May: Finalised representation with Seminal Artist Group, an international agency (offices all around the world including New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo). In December they filmed in my home and studio, behind-the-scenes footage capturing my creative process and environment - this will be released soon. If you follow me on instagram you will see it when it pops up there. I am looking forward to working with them in 2026.

  • June: Finalised the purchase of my house and studio, establishing a permanent, stable base for my practice for years to come. Launched a new website, (you are reading this from it!), thus creating a home for my physical and digital worlds.

July – August

  • July: Began painting for Kaleidoscope City and started on the final edits on my poetry book; Poetry Buried in Geometry.

  • August: Recorded spoken word versions of my poetry with Nic Malouf and Nik Karlin — now available wherever you stream music (search Jasmine Mansbridge). The Spotify album is HERE.

September – Papua New Guinea

I was invited to PNG during the PNG 50 celebrations, marking the 50th Independence Anniversary of Papua New Guinea. I also attended the Goroka Show and other official cultural events, meeting local artists and communities in the Highlands. The trip felt like such a gift and enhanced my broader understanding of global art and culture, highlighting both the challenges faced by a small country like PNG and also the wealth of talent, creativity, and innovation within their communities. You take a look at the summary of this trip HERE.

December

  • Travelled for the opening of my solo exhibition Kaleidoscope City at Soluna Fine Art in Hong Kong, catalogue essay HERE.

  • Launched my book; POETRY BURIED IN GEOMETRY book, available for signed copies via my website, also widely available wherever you purchase books online. If you are overseas this can mean more affordable postage.

  • Spent New Year’s Eve off-grid, reflecting on the year ahead. Dreaming big, but also wanting to live and create intentionally and meaningfully.

Year-End Reflections & Looking Ahead

  • I am opening mentoring sessions HERE for the 2026 year, perfect if you would like support with a creative practice/process.

  • Commissions for 2026 are now open — five spots are currently available. I have a very simple process and have a number of very satisfied clients who have collected work this way, for example Bec Judd has two. Please get in contact here to discuss your ideas.

May 2026 see more peace, love and calm come into the world, my wish is to be a conduit for that, more art to come always…

Jasmine X
