Sir John Sulman Prize 2022

Secret Life of Stars

Hi Everyone,

I’d like to share with you my recent entry for the Sir John Sulman Prize 2022. This marks my third entry into the Sulman Prize. The work was purchased by a collector in Sydney and will hang in a wonderful art collection.

‘SECRET LIFE OF STARS’ is a 200 x 200 cm acrylic on linen.

I have been writing a lot and this poem inspired this;

THE SECRET LIFE OF STARS

So often I wonder

About The

secret life

Of Stars

Unreachable

Ever present

Visible

Invisible

Lost from the mother

Found by another

Magnificent

Common

Luminous

Overlooked

Set apart

Untouchable

Existing in dreams

Present in myths

Fantasies

And Illusions

I am forever drawn

Gazing

Wishing

Seeing lost  Loves

Twinkling

Far above

All I can do

Is wonder

about The

secret life

Of stars

As always, thank you for supporting my work and please reach out here or via my Instagram if you have any questions, or would like to commission a painting or sculptural work.
