CONNECTING TO THE MUSE WITHIN
Program Description
THE MUSE WITHIN – A Return to Self via Creativity is a series of four intimate evening sessions designed to gently reconnect participants with their creative essence. Rooted in mindfulness, presence, and heart-led making, this series offers a space to slow down, reflect, and rebuild a creative practice whilst in community.
Held in a small group setting of just seven/eight participants, each session invites a return — to imagination, intuition, and inner stillness — using accessible creative exercises, journaling, and shared conversation. Participants are welcome to bring a project they would like to work on, or be supported in creative exercises to awaken the Muse. The basic materials for these explorations will be supplied.
There is no pressure to produce specific outcomes; rather, this is a supportive, non-competitive space for those seeking renewal, expression, and creative companionship. There will be room to discuss individual creative ideas and goals and to make plans for how to see these come to life.
Led by artist and mentor Jasmine Mansbridge, who brings almost 30 years of experience in fine arts along with TAFE group facilitation qualifications, Jasmine has worked extensively with schools and institutions and has delivered a number of creative programs. Her 2016 book; There is a Paintbrush in my Coffee touched on many timeless topics around creativity which will be discussed throughout the four weeks. Participants will also be taught a simple meditation process that Jasmine has found profoundly helpful across all areas of her life.
The series fosters a sense of creative habit, self-trust, and connection — both within and with others.
This series of workshops has been made possible with the kind support of i2C Architects and will be held downstairs from the practice at 3/29 Cromwell St, Collingwood VIC 3066.
