my newest chair
There are plenty of things that I would like to do, that I don’t get to do. I have spent the last few days a bit solemn because I REALLY wanted to go to Daylesford to the David Bromley auction, but, because my husband works sundays there was no way I was going to go with four kids in tow. Anyway, things all worked out okay, as my cousins went along themselves and reported back just how out of control the prices got… the table I had my eye on went for $5200. The same thing I can apparently pick up for $1200 at a secondhand shop (but Bromley himself won’t have sat at it will he). The other thing I found solace in, was this neat bridge chair I picked up heading towards Port Fairy this afternoon. Will go nicely with the rest of my collection! Maybe one day, people will pay big prices for all my stuff and like Mr Bromley, I to can go live in Byron Bay.
